Tumanskij R-11F2S-300 engine used on MIG-21 Fighter jet equipped with new flap system with active flow on boundary layer by air bled from engine combustion chamber. Engine sits on installation trolley, it was pushed to frame by cable driven by crank.
Contemporary of Czech training aircraft L-29 DelfĂn was built in license at Australia, Brasilia and South Africa. This example is owned by Mr Renzo Catellani and was restored to flying condition in 2012.
Left engine Garrett TFE731-2. Purpose of the cable installed between engine and wing is unknown to me, it is not installed on right hand engine and also I had never seen it on any civil example of Falcon 10.
East Germany Air Force was large user of MIG-23 jet fighter aircrafts. There was overhaul factory of them in Dresden, some of Czechoslovak Air Force aircraft were overhauld there.
Sn 0031 was one of many Z-42 from first batch delivered as DDR-WMT to East Germany. During one of overhauls was equipped with V-503A propeller and new dorsil fin. (Fliegerschule Rudolstadt)
Sn 29205/3056 was built for Aeroflot (VP-BAM), later served with Garuda as PK-GZJ. It was converted to freighter and become part of TNT fleet in July 2011.
Sn 494 was delivered to TAP Air Portugal in November 1988. In 2008 became part of white Airways fleet, leased to Brazilian subsidiary Whitejets Transportes Aereos from May 2010 to March 2012.
